ARTICLES OF FAITH
That the spiritual Christian Evangelical Church
accepts as norms of Doctrine
THE CHURCH
1. We believe that the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ is one, universal and indivisible.
All persons without distinction of race, nationality, language, color or customs having accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and being baptized in water in His Holy Name for the forgiveness of their sins form the Church.
The ties that unite the members of the Church are the ties of the Spirit of Christ that lives and governs in the heart of each one.
“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all” Ephesians 4:1-6
“ For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit” 1 Corinthians 12:13.
2. We believe that the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the present time is the continuation of the Church that began on the day of Pentecost in the city of Jerusalem.
Therefore, the members lives are guided and sustained by the principles of the Christian Doctrine, which was first spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ, and has been confirmed up to this day by those who heard Him. God has testified through them with signs and miracles and diverse marvels and the gift of the Holy Spirit according to His will.
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” (Hebrews 2:3-4, Hebrews 2:1-43)
