DOCTRINE THAT THE CHURCH PRACTICES

1. We believe that all believers en Christ Jesus should be saints because they have been consecrated for His service.

The holiness of the believer is by the work of the Holy Spirit and the filial relation with God, a holy seed, the holiness of the believer begins in the heart and is characterized by the external actions that prove through his behavior that he has internal pureness.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty” 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18.

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” 2 Corinthians 7:1.

“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” Ephesians 4:24.

“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness” 1 Thessalonians 3:13.

2. We believe in the evidence of the Holy Spirit promised by God in the prophesies of the Old Testament according to the prophesy of Joel 2:28-29.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit”

And in the words said by our Lord Jesus Christ:

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” John 14: 16-18.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you” John 14:26.

After the glorification of Christ, the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. Furthermore, we believe in the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit that is manifested in the believer with the gift of tongues. This is a specific sign, which is given by our Lord Jesus Christ for his disciples and all those who believe in His Holy name.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues” Mark 16:17.

“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God” Acts 10: 44-46.

“And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost” Acts 11: 15-16.

“And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied” Acts 19:6.

3. We believe in the healing of the physical body in response to prayer with faith.

We believe that God has power to heal all our physical aches, if that is His will and that divine healing is an effect of the sacrifice of Christ, which: “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” Isaiah 53:4.

“When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses” Matthew 8:16-17.

The healing of the physical body is in response to the believer’s prayer and the power of the Name of Jesus Christ that is invoked on the sick person. We also believe that the sick should be anointed with oil in the name of the Lord by a Minister of God that has been chosen by God to dispense this blessing.

“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” Mark 16:18.

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him” James 5: 14-15.

“And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it” Matthew 9:27-30.

“And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed” Matthew 8: 6-8.

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour” Mathew 9: 20-22.

“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord” 2 Kings 20:5.

4. We believe that the love for our brethren is the greatest manifestation that we love our Lord Jesus Christ by virtue that He first loved us.

No one can love God and abhor their brother. There should be coherence in this feeling. If we love one another, it is evident that God is in us and His love is perfect. The unequivocal proof that we are with God is if we love our brethren as we love the Lord Jesus Christ himself.

“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another” 1 John 4: 10-11.

“We love him, because he first loved us” 1 John 4: 19

“And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also” 1 John 4:21.

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” John 13:34.

5. We believe that God grants gifts from the Holy Spirit.

The qualities that characterize the believer o those who form part of God people, as a vocation to develop certain services, are gifts that God give those that he chooses for the perfection of his people and all that is directly related with his work. All perfect and good gifts, come from the Father of lights.

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” James 1:17.

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness” Romans 12:3-8.

“And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues” 1 Corinthians 12:28.

“God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” Hebrews 2:4.
